Mumbai: Consolidating its position as Asia’s biggest and premier international exposition, Clean India Pulire 2009 displayed innovative and state-of-the-art products and services from over 10 countries. The well-attended show outnumbered its previous records registering a footfall of over 5,400 visitors from all over India and other countries.

Organised by Clean India Journal, a Virtual Info Systems Pvt Ltd publication, in association with Afidamp Servizi srl, the show witnessed a clear 19.3% increase in the number of visitors walking in from multiple sectors. J.P. Nair, Managing Director-VIS, said, “Despite the brewing storm threat the day before the show, the number of visitors has been commendably good. Besides, the quality of visitors and on-the-spot business transacted, during the three-day show were overwhelming.” This year, the show expanded space by 22.6% to accommodate the increasing demand of exhibitors.

This is the best of the Clean India Shows, said the Indian Cleaning Industry in a chorus. “It had the right kind of visitors and we received a mix of people from various sectors,” they said.
Not just in terms of number of visitors and quality, “the show was very well organized, meeting international standards in every way”, said Vivek Mata, MD-Charnock Equipments Pvt Ltd.
“It’s not always the number of visitors or quality that matters, this show has opened up trade opportunities, which is what we were looking for. I know I am in the right place,” said Sumeet Khurana, MD-Dulevo India.
M.K. Vijayasankar, MD-Roots Multiclean Ltd, said that the management and the visibility of the show have increased manifold, in turn resulting in attracting decision making visitors.
“From what it began in 2005, the show has come a long way,” said Anil Sethi, MD-Manmachine India.
“It’s absolutely fantastic & incredible show and we are delighted to be exhibiting here. The visitors have been very responsive to our range of products,” said Joe Ovenden, Sales Director-Vectair Systems Ltd.
“This show has given us the opportunity to tap potential sectors for FM, which we have not looked at so far,” said Pradeep Mehra, MD-G4S Facility Service Pvt Ltd.
“It has also enabled us to make new contacts in the Indian market and we are looking forward to establish our cleaning systems in the coming two years,” said Nicola Negro, Marketing Manager-Idrobase Innovative HP Washer, Italy.

A touching moment at the show was the felicitation ceremony of the oldest living woman conservancy worker of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, Ms Aloo Dewa. The symbolic shawl and a gift cheque by Clean India Journal were presented to her amidst national and international delegates.

The highlight of the show, the two-day Seminar on Facility Management and Housekeeping, was well received. It drew a large crowd from diverse industries from across India. The Seminar hall was extended beyond the 200 seating arrangement to accommodate increased registration. CIJ partnered with Roots Multiclean Ltd, Tennant, Lion Services Ltd and Aquair for the seminar.

In keeping with international standards, the housekeeping was delivered by All Services Under 1 Roof (India) Pvt Ltd and the washrooms were maintained by Best Practice Washroom Pvt Ltd.
