After the announcement of the agreement that led to Hygienalia+Pulire into a new event, Toni D'Andrea, Managing Director of Afidamp Servizi; Josep Pinent, President of Asfel and the Organizing Committee of Hygienalia + Pulire; Alberto Alonso, Deputy Director of Reed Exhibition Iberia; and Nacho Rocafull Director of the Trade Shows for the End Customer and for New Markets of Feria Valencia have expressed their satisfaction with the interest demonstrated by all parties involved in the agreement. The agreement is expected to result in the largest event in the professional cleaning and sanitation industry in Spain.
Firstly, it is important to underscore the extensive cooperation between the parties along the way leading up to Hygienalia+Pulire, the Professional Cleaning and Sanitation Exhibition, a shared path that will bring significant advantages to all the parties involved. The event, hosted at Feria Valencia between 31 January and 2 February 2012, is presently the only trade exhibition to show off the newest items in the industry and the highest standards of service to industrial cleaning professionals on the Spanish market.
With this in mind, organizers decided to establish a biennial schedule, preferably on even years. The response from exhibitors and visitors to this first edition will be crucial to the future of the event. The decision to hold the event in Valencia was made to take advantage of an advanced, progressive exhibition centre, with the largest exhibition space in Spain and one of the top eight in Europe.
The preliminary figures related to the response of the professionals and the market speak loudly: in just three weeks from announcing the agreement, 15 of the leading Spanish companies in the professional cleaning equipment industry gave positive feedback to the new exhibition, as did many companies that operate in the chemical products industry. Currently, industry segmentation is as follows: 45% for cleaning equipment and 55% for chemical products and other cleaning accessories.
The goal of this joint venture is also to increase the visibility of the various sectors – environment, recycling, laundry, accessories, uniforms, safety, and street cleaning. Hygienalia+Pulire also aims to offer two opportunities for exchange and debate for the hospitality and Ho.Re.Ca. industries, which are key partners.
In terms of visitors, efforts have focused and will continue to concentrate on professionals in Spain and Portugal, but organizers hope to reach out to end users, in order to represent the entire sector as a whole. This ambitious objective is not expected to be attained in the debut edition but will be pursued in time. |
